North Meath Gaels 0-13 : 0-11 Round Towers : U15 Division 6 semi-final
North Meath Gaels (Kilmainhamwood/Drumconrath/Meath Hill) recovered from a slow start to overcome Round Towers in the U15 Division 6 semi-final. Round Towers sprinted from the blocks to lead 0-5 to 0-1 after 15 minutes but a good 2nd quarter recovery had North Meath up 0-9 to 0-7 at the break. The 2nd half was even and the scoring rate slowed down with each side managing 4 points each as Towers got to within one on a couple of occasions but Daniel Byrne and Robert McEntaggert pointed late on to secure victory.
Team : Dominic Yorke, Conor Marry, Matthew Carolan, Dylan Dardis, Cathal Dunne, Cathal Bennett (0-1), John Duff (0-1), James Mooney (0-1), Robert McEntaggert (0-2), Paddy Matthews, Kieran Slavin (0-1), Paul Carolan (0-1), Daniel Byrne (0-6). Subs : Sean Rooney, Eoin Muldoon, Jack McMahon
North Meath Gaels take on Nobber in the Division 6 final on Saturday 20th in Moynalty at 2pm … all support greatly appreciated.
