Kilmainhamwood exited the Junior A championship last Friday night despite a hard fought 1-6 to 0:9 draw with Moylagh in Ballinlough. The ‘Wood started brightly and should have been 1-4 up before Moylagh registered the first point of the game. The ‘Wood eventually got off the mark with a Stephen Kiernan’s point and went into half time 0:1 to 0:5 down. The second half was much better and a Francis Owens goal got the ‘Wood right back into it. The sides were level a few times before fulltime. Padraic Barber, Francis Ownes, Ray Madden and Colm Gilcreest were the best for the ‘Wood on the night.
