The Kilmainhamwood first team had a superb win away to Ballinabrackey on Sunday 27th on a final score of 1-9 to 0-9

A Stephen Kiernan penalty just before half time was the difference in the end but this was a team win with heroes all over the pitch.
Damien Russell in the goals was assured all through with three crucial saves in the last five minutes.
Stephen Smith and Emmett Clarke marked a dangerous two-man full forward line and were both brilliant all day.
Andy Farrelly worked hard and was strong all game and was well assisted by David Russell.
The veteran full forward line of Ray McGee, Aiden Crosby and Raymond Cunningham scored 8 points and worked as hard as if they were teenagers.
Despite the early loss of model wing-back Michael Shankey the 'Wood went into the break 1-4 to 0-5. Harry Corbally slotted into the wing-back slot vacated by model wing-back Michael Shankey and Harry then gave a model performance.
The best example of model performance was given by Sean Mulligan on the '40 ... his performance definitely deserves a mention and it seems that his model performances are not getting enough of a mention ... model performance. Sean was back in defence for that last ten minutes as Ballinabrackey threw the kitchen sink at the 'Wood but nothing got past Sean ... really was a model performance.
The Meath senior team will take on their Armagh counterparts in Kilmainhamwood on Sunday 8th May 2011 for the official opening of the new dressing rooms. Everyone is invited and there will be music and great craic. See you there.
Best wishes,
Shane Russell & the Committee,
Kilmainhamwood GFC
