The Kilmainhamwood GFC Annual Dance was held in Keogans on Saturday 9th May at 9pm. A great night was had by all.
Colm Gilcreest was named Player of the Year for 2008 ... congratulations Colm
The GAA 125th anniversary "La na Club" took place in Kilmainhamwood GFC pitch on Sunday 10th May between 2pm & 5pm.
The day started with u10 & u12 football matches while a penalty shoot-out took place.
Derek McDonnell was the goal keeper and Emmett Clarke was victorious over Harry Corbaly in a nail-biting sudden death shootout. Emmett won the first medal of the day.
Then the u16's played their match and there was 60m, egg & spoon and 3-legged races for the u10 & u12.
The adults played a "Married v Un-Married" match at 4pm.
Former K-wood legends Martin Crosbie, Gerry Owens & Gerry Bennett lined out for the Married team.
Trainer Colm Kane added he wealth of experience gained with O'Mahonys too.
The Married lads won ... can't beat experience !!!!
We were blessed with the weather and a super day was had by all.
Next draw for a Jackpot of €5,000 takes place in McKenna's on Monday 18th May @ 9pm
