Wed 27th Jun
- 19:00 in K-wood: Jim Condra U14 memorial match vs Chicago. One of Kilmainhamwood GFC greatest sons, Davy Shields, brings his Chicago U14 charges to Ireland for the Féile Peile 2018 and will take on the pride of Kilmainhamwood in a challenge match. There will be a function afterwards in Keogans and everyone is invited. More details to follow. Davy was an integral member of the all-conquering Kilmainhamwood silverware-laden side during the nineties. Davy had the sweetest left foot … after Smoothie, Frilly, Ray Madden, Ken Russell, Aidan Crosbie, Cabbage, Johnny Corrigan and me (and I’m naturally right-footed)! It promises to be a great night and we might even convince the left-footed-wizard to don his old #10 jersey (if it fits) and show the crowd his radar-like-left-peg in action! But we probably won’t bother!!
