Very hard luck to Ger McManus, Danny Sutcliffe and Paul Maguire and the Dublin U21 hurlers who lost to a very strong Galway team in Thurles on Saturday.Well done lads, you have done your club and county proud all year.Two bus loads of supporters from St Judes headed down to support the lads.We wish Kevin McManamon, Colm Murphy and the Dublin Senior and Minor Teams the very best of luck on Sunday and fingers crossed the two lads will bring Sam to the club for the first time since 1995. A very busy day in the club last Saturday. St Judes hosted the third All Ireland U13 Camogie Sevens sponsored by Johnston Mooney and O’Brien in Tymon . Winners of the Cup were Cahir and the Shield was won by Thomastown. Our thanks to Sinead O’Connor Ard Stiurthoir Cumann Camogaiochta who attended on the day. Well done to Aisling Moloney from Cahir who won Laoch an Lae. The St Judes Academy held a very successful open day on the all weather pitch in the morning with over 120 kids in attendance. Our numbers are very encouraging again for the current year. Well done to all involved in organising both events. This Saturday we host the All Ireland Junior Football Sevens sponsored by Bord Gais Energy. Games commence at 10.30am . Members help needed on the day and we need volunteers for ball boys, umpires etc. Please come along at 10.30am to assist. Live music in the bar that night by Dave Kennedy. Come along and enjoy a Family day on Sunday in the bar where you can watch the minor and senior Finals live on our big screen. Complimentary finger food available and live music afterwards by Cian O’Sullivan. Demand for tickets from our members is huge and has far out stripped supply.If you don’t get a ticket please come along and watch the game in the club. Come on the Dubs!. Big congratulations to our Senior Camogie team who qualified for the semi final of the championship on Sunday by defeating Na Fianna away. A brilliant result and well done girls. Adult Games Committee meeting on Thursday at 9.00pm. All team mentors are urged to attend .The format for next year’s championships will be discussed at the meeting. Bingo on Wednesday in the club at 8.00pm. Lotto numbers were 7,9,13 and 18.No winner. 4 people share €250 for match 3’s, Stephen Sheerin , Mick Doherty,Mick O’Boyle,Tommy Hopkins. Jackpot next week is €9500.
