Additional Items:

U20 Football

Our Under 20’s play in the Championship Final this Friday night, December 17th in Dunganny at 8pm in a bid to win the first ever championship at this level in our club’s history.

This will be only our 2nd appearance in a top championship final at this level (U21/U20) and on the last occasion it was a losing one (in 1988) to Gaeil Colmcille. On that day our Captain was Michael Duffy, Rathill and the team management was Jim Gilligan, Val Dowd & Paddy O Dwyer.  One of our present U20’s selectors Kevin Kealy was on that U21 team.

Dunshaughlin did win three U21 A championships, in 2000 (defeating Ballivor), 2004 (defeating Na Fianna) & 2007 (defeating Wolfe Tones). We also lost two U21 A finals in 1995 & 1996.

We are hoping we will have a big contingent from Dunshaughlin to support the lads in their quest for glory as their opponents Ballinabrackey/Clonard will bring a large following as their last big win together was the Minor Championship in 1989 in Pairc Tailteann.

Best of luck to lads.
