Well done to the Meath Ladies Team who had a great win over Leitrim on Sunday in Round 2 of the TG4 All Ireland Intermediate Football Championship. Meath came out on top on a score-line of 5-18 to 0-10. Great to see our own Niamh O’Sullivan coming out with 3 points to her name and in doing so it has got her a nomination for the Robert Cox Extra Time Sport LGFA Player of the Week. You can vote for Niamh to be crowned Player of the Week on our Facebook Page.

The Girls have booked a place in the All-Ireland Intermediate Semi Final for the 3rd year in a row. Their opponents, time, date and venue has yet to be decided. Keep an eye out on our social media pages, as soon as we know more regarding the fixture, we will let you know.

The Meath Senior Footballers comfortably brushed as side Wicklow on Sunday in the Leinster SFC Quarter Final. Final score from Aughrim 7-14 to 0-07. Our own Mathew Costello made his Championship Debut wearing Number 7. Mathew marked his debut in fine style getting Meath’s second goal on the day, firing a shot to the roof of the net in the 27th minute. The goal capped a fine performance and we’re not being biased here at all, but it was the Best of the 7 goals!!

Meath march on to the Leinster Semi Final against old foes Kildare next Sunday November 15th @ 1pm in Croke Park.

We would like to share the progress that is going on behind closed doors in the completion of the Clubhouse first floor. The space upstairs is huge and will be a fantastic amenity for the Club with a large function room, large gym, office, kitchen, toilets and great views of both pitches.

Work completed to date includes the laying of the base floor, completion of first fix electrics and plumbing. The next steps are insulation followed by slabbing and plastering. We aim to have this stage complete by Christmas.

As a Club we would like to give a shout out to the Project Team led by Jim Gilligan, Ultan Blake, Pat Gorman, Hughie McCarthy, Alan Quirke, Bel O'Connor, Seamus Traynor and Cyril Creavin. We would also like to thank you for your ongoing support for the Club.

We look forward to a day when our teams can meet, work out, celebrate & socialise right here in our wonderful Clubhouse

Finally, every year the GAA run a National Club Draw with incredible prizes to be won.  First prize is an All New Renault Clio, as well a range of amazing All Ireland Final packages. All prizes and information can be seen here: https://www.gaa.ie/my-gaa/administrators/national-club-draw

Since we can't call to the homes in the Community this year, we are delighted to offer the tickets for sale online. Tickets are €10 and you can get yours here: https://bit.ly/3oO7o2d

All the proceeds of ticket sales go directly to our Club. We appreciate your support & wish everyone the best of luck.

Until next week folks,

Stay Safe Everybody,
