A very rare event took place last Sunday in Omagh when five members of the club played on the Meath minor team v Tyrone. They were very active on the scoreboard too, with Ruairi Kinsella scoring 1-3, including a goal from a penalty after he was fouled, Aaron Murphy 1-2, Conor Gray 0-2 and John McDonagh 0-1. Fursey Blake was the fifth man, playing at full-back in the second half. Well done to all on a unique achievement. Congrats also to Mathew Costello who made his National league debut for Meath coming on as a sub v Tyrone in Omagh.

Round 2 of the NFL, Meath v Donegal takes place in Páirc Tailteann, Navan, this Sunday, throw in at 2 p.m. The county board is looking for additional stewards and if you can help contact Mairéad Delaney on 087-216 9912 by tomorrow, Wednesday 29th Jan.

Our senior men had a difficult opening Feis Cup game against Na Fianna on Saturday, losing out by 2-14 to 0-4. Well done to those who made their adult debuts for the club, James Traynor, Darragh Byrne and Bill Jennings. The team plays the second round of the competition on Saturday, away to Gaeil Colmcille, at Grangegodden, outside Kells at 2:45 p.m.
