Congratulations to Olivia Leonard who won a Leinster Football Final medal when Dublin beat Meath in the Final on Sunday.
Other Maurs players on Inter county duty for Dublin this weekend included Craig Fortune and Jack Burke for the U16 Footballers with Laura Carthy playing for the U12 footballers along with Colin Halpin and Eoghan Conroy both on duty for the U15 and U16 hurlers.
Our first Football team lost out to St. Brigids away on Wednesday night and their match scheduled for Saturday night against Na Fianna was cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
Our 2nd football team won against Cuala away while our 3rd football team won out against Clann Mhuire 2-5 to 0-6 away.
Maurs adult hurlers lost out to at home to Faughs on Monday night. St. Maurs wish to extend its best wish’s to a young player from Faughs David Lysaght who broke his collar in the match and we hope he will make a speedy recovery and be back playing as soon as possible.
Our Minor Footballers won against St. Marks on Friday.
Maurs U9 footballers lost out narrowly in two games in the Ger Canavan Tournament during the week when they lost out to Cuala and St. Marks.
