Great night had by all on Friday night to celebrate the Pavilions reopening and the Senior Footballers promotion. Well done to Alan and the lads who were unfortunately beaten on Saturday by St. Anne’s in the AIB Cup Final after what has been a fantastic year to date.

Thanks to the event organisers Emma Fortune, Canice Reid, Robin Bollard, Brian Dennehy and Gerry Foley along with the team of helpers Ann Harford, Ann Reynolds, Amelia Gilligan, Harry and Ray Rennicks, Robert Bollard for getting the hall ready and Darragh Bollard and Cian Rock for playing the bag pipes and drums.

Well done to all involved in the roof project which started in 2007 and thanks go to Leo Bissett, Joe Corr, Senator Darragh O’ Brien, Mark Kelly, Robin Bollard, Denis Byrne, Declan Conroy, Peter Conway, Brian Dennehy, Gerry Foley, Fergus Casey, Kevin Bradley ( Seal Build ) along with the sponsorship received from Eirgrid and Fingal County Council.

The Clubs future in an exciting one as all who saw what was a very successful blitz for U 7’8’9s organised by the Juvenile Committee for Saturday where a massive number of over 220 children from Rush turned up. While many playing GAA for the first time still showed great ability which will hopefully be built on. Well done to all who helped out including Colm, Ciaran, Peter, Karl, Darragh, David, Annemarie, Robbie, Gerry and the army of helpers they had on the day.

Our Adult Hurlers won promotion to division 5 on Sunday and remain unbeaten.
Our Minor Footballers lost out narrowly in the Championship, while the u15’s had a good win against St. Mary’s in the B football Championship. The under 14 footballers also had a good win in their league.
The U 9’s played away in a blitz to Craobh Ciaran, Sylvester’s and Skerries Harps, the Maroon team won 2 and drew 1 game while the gold team drew 2 and lost 1.
