Junior B’s play a league game vs Menlough this Sunday at home
U-16’s are down to play Menlough at home next Tuesday the 25th in the league.

Our u-14s took a step towards County Shield Success last Friday as they followed up their North Board Shield victory the week before with a 2-6 to 0-6 win over St Michaels'. Conditions were awful and when both teams took the field there looked to be as miss match as St. Michaels’ had a strong squad. The first few minutes saw Michaels have all the possession but only scoring 2 points. Then a spirited ten minutes by Headford with James Lee and Thomas Doyle kicking two points before Niall Egan fisted to the net. Michaels went on the charge again but great defending reduced them to only one point as Headford broke up the field and Niall Egan and Mikey O’Brien made it 1-4 0-3 at half time. The second half started like the first ended as Headford got some great scores through Thomas Doyle and Sean Monaghan who made it 1-6 0-3. Then came 5 minutess of great defending through Finnan Guy, Gavin Lee and Colin O’Reilly who defended well throughout the game. A break away goal then with Sean Monaghan netting after great work from Darren Higgins and Eoghan Halloran. That was to be our last score as the last 15 mins saw a massive defensive effort as Michaels didnt leave the Headford half. Goal line clearances from Colin O’Reilly and Cian Doherty and saves from Robert Forde kept us in with a chance of victory. The heart and determination showed by the Headford team showed goals wins games as the score finished 2-6 to 0-6. Best for us were Mikey O’Brien, Sean Monaghan and our 6 backs and goalkeeper whos work rate and blocking won us the game.
