We had no winner in our Facebook Live lotto draw for a €25,950 jackpot on Sunday night. Numbers drawn were 6,15,18,23. We had two match 3's who share €150: Barry McCabe, Belclare; Grace Conneally, Culleen, Headford. Next lotto draw will be on Sunday August 27th on Facebook Live at 9pm and the jackpot will be €26,100. Tickets can be bought on our website and in Tesco, Monaghan's Centra, The Trading Post, Ted McHugh's, The Angler's Rest and Varley's.
U-7's and U-9's are hosting Caherlistrane for a blitz on Saturday morning at 11am.
U-11's train on Monday and Saturday.
U-12's play Claregalway tomorrow evening,Thursday.
U-13's defeated Lettermore in their shield final last Thursday evening in Clonbur. The result was never in doubt from the start. Well done to the management and players.
U-15's had a brilliant win away to neighbours Caherlistrane in the shield semi final, 1-6 to 0-8. Level 0-4 each at half time, we edged the second half with a vital goal from John Sommerville. This was a great turnaround after suffering a big loss to them at the start of the season. We will play Moycullen in the shield final.
U-17 division 2 team's championship campaign continued at home to Eastern Harps on Sunday but unfortunately they suffered a one point defeat, 0-8 to 0-7. Both teams struggled to get in to their rhythm throughout with a lot of wayward passes and poor shooting, despite the game being played in good conditions.
The division 4 team's latest game was to be at home to Salthill/Knocknacarra on Sunday but has been switched to tomorrow evening, Thursday, at 7pm. A win will see them qualify for the final.
Our Junior's next championship game is away to Ballinasloe this weekend, 12pm on Sunday. The group is wide open with Menlough the only team safe from elimination.
