We had no winner of our €20,000 lotto jackpot last Sunday night. We had two match 3s - Christina Moran (Cross) & Noel Higgins (Donaghpatrick). Numbers drawn were 14-17-19-25. Promoter's prize went to Charlie O'Sullivan. Next week's draw will be for €20,000 and will be held in Campbell's Tavern next Sunday night.

Thank you all so much for another terrific day out last Sunday week at our TJ Keady Parish League event. We were fundraising for 5 worthy charities:

Croí Heart & Stroke Charity, MS Ireland, Corrib Mask Search & Rescue, Galway Hospice & Cancer Care West.

It’s looking like they will have an equal share in over €11,000 with donations still coming in. That is a phenomenal amount of money for a small community to raise in the space of 20 days. We would like to thank the sponsors who donated so generously for such a good cause. We would like to thank the over 160 footballers, ladies and gents, from home and abroad (and even a few of our neighbours) who all gave a terrific display of football on the day. Thanks to our two referees Austin and John who made sure things didn’t boil over and kept a firm grip of the reins the whole day. We would also like to thank the 4 tug of war teams who dug deep to be the pride of their corner of the parish....and finally the people of Headford and our ever welcome neighbours who turned out in unbelievable numbers throughout the day to support the event and contribute so handsomely to the buckets on the day itself. Congrats to the Áth Cinn men's team and tug of war team in their hard earned victories. Well done also to the Killursa ladies team for winning out the cup final. The highlights of the day was Áth Cinns goal in the final, created in London and finished by the Cong Rd which would have been at home in Croke Park on All Ireland final day itself and the tug of war final which must have had at least 400 people surrounding the finalists as the fought for every inch of ground to claim the title.

Thank you to the Keady family for allowing us to honour TJ, a life long patron of the club and being part of the day with us last Sunday. Finally another thank you from our small club to you the people of Headford as it is you that made this day so special. Again, Happy New Year to all and hopefully we have a successful year on the pitch in 2020 and as Ronan Keady said in his final few words on Sunday "Long live Headford GAA"!

Please Note

The prize amounts above are what each winner will receive.
