We had no winner of our €20,000 lotto jackpot last Sunday night. We had two match 3 winners sharing €150 - MJ Burke (c/o Joyce's) & Nora Duddy (Ballyconlought). Numbers drawn were 13-15-22-25. Promoters prize went to TJ Egan. Next week's draw will be for €20,000 and will be held in Murphy's on Sunday night.
Huge well done to the Juniors who are back in the North Board Final for the third year in a row after a hard fought victory over Claregalway on Sunday, 2-11 to 2-10.
It took all our metal to dig out a 1 point victory away from home in the semi final. Details of the final will be on our website and social media pages as soon as they become available.
The Minors were due to play their last Championship match of the group on Monday vs Cortoon Shamrocks, result next week.
Hard luck to the u-16s who lost out in the Shield Semi-Final to Oughterard last Friday night which means their season is now at an end.
They had an excellent start to the year with an unbeaten run in the league meaning they finished second in the table but the knockout stages didn’t go their way.
Big thanks to the management Mike Fahy and Seán Gillon for their hard work with the team and to the lads themselves for their effort. Many of this team are capable of breaking into the adult teams in the coming years so great hope for the future.
Also hard luck to the u-14s and their management who just came out the wrong side of the scoreline vs Kilconly last week in the u-14 Championship Semi Final, 1-11 to 2-6 final score. The squad couldn’t be faulted for effort, really gave it their all throughout the year. Still a fine achievement to reach the last 4 of the Championship.
