We had no winner of our €20,000 lotto jackpot last Sunday night in Greenfield House. We had two match 3 winners sharing €150 - James Moran(Headford) & Conal Ward (Shrule). Numbers drawn were 7-15-19-28. Promoters prize went to Leanne Fleming. Next week's draw will be for €20,000 and will be held in Keady's Bar on Monday night.
Well done to both our adult teams who had important Championship wins over the weekend. On Friday the Intermediates defeated a much improved Carna/Cashel outfit 1-13 to 0-10 after pulling away towards the end of the game and secure our second win of the group stage. Saturday saw the Juniors take on a strong Kilconly side and after a poor start we eventually took the win in this opening round clash, 2-10 to 0-11. Both teams have their next Championship games scheduled for 2 weeks time, weekend of 25th/26th of August. The Minors played Ballinasloe on Monday evening in the second round of the Championship, report next week. Well done to the u-13s on a fantastic win in the Shield Final vs Northern Gaels, 3-11 v 3-05. Also well done to our u-11 boys, with help from Ruth O Brien of St. Fursey's Ladies on winning the Cup final in the Tuam Stars u-11 Competition. Headford beat Claregalway by a narrow margin in this very well organised tournament The Club Shop is open every Monday evening from 7:30-8:30pm at the clubhouse.
