We had no winner of our €19,450 lotto jackpot last Sunday night in Murphy's Kilbeg. We had two match 3 winners sharing €150 - Hazel Murphy (Kilbeg) & Dympna Hennelly (Clydagh). Numbers drawn were 4-15-22-24. Promoters prize went to Tom Murphy. Next week's draw will be for €19,600 and will be held in Greenfield's on Sunday night. Best of luck to Michael Day who is captain of the Galway Juniors, as they take on Mayo on Sunday in the Connacht Final in Pearse Stadium. Best of luck also to Padraic Cunningham and the Galway Senior Footballers who play Roscommon in the subsequent Senior Final. Hard luck to the Intermediates who tasted their first defeat of the year away to Leitir Mór on Sunday in Division 3 of the league, final score 1-16 to 1-11. We now have 2 games left in the league, which we will have to win to have a chance of promotion. Our young Junior side put in a fine second half performance to get their 3rd win in the league last Friday vs Milltown. 6 points down at half time, they managed to reduce Milltown to just 1 score in the second half and take the victory, on a final score of 2-13 to 3-5. The u-14s play Cortoon Shamrocks at home on Friday at 7pm in the league. The u-13s play Kinvara at 7pm Tuesday, looking to make it 3 wins from 3 in the league. Remember our club shop is open every Monday 7.30-8.30pm at the clubhouse (with the exception of bank holidays).
