We had no winner of our €18,100 lotto jackpot last Sunday night in Campbell's Tavern. We three six match 3s sharing €150 - Mary Redmond, Michael Heneghan (Shrule), Bridget Keane (Cloughanover). Numbers drawn were 10-16-25-31. Promoters prize went to Evan Mohan. Next week's draw will be for €18,250 and will be held in Murphy's (Kilbeg) on Sunday night. The Minors travelled to Mountbellew/Moylough last Wednesday and managed a 4-13 to 2-6 win despite just having 15 players available. Well done to everyone involved for pulling together and getting a well deserved victory. This leaves them with 2 points from 2 games in the league, with Tuam Stars set to visit Headford next Wednesday. The u-16s started their league with a comprehensive victory over Killererin last Tuesday night at home. Well done to the lads who put in an excellent team performance. They play away to Loughrea on Tuesday in Round 2 of the league. Headford GAA & St Furseys Ladies held a combined cake sale at the Headford Market in the Square last Saturday run by both u-14 teams and management to raise funds for the upcoming National Féile, which we are host clubs for. Thanks to all who helped and supported us.
Well done to the u-14s who dug out a gutsy 2-3 to 0-9 draw away to Kilconly GAA this evening, kicking an equaliser in the 5th minute of injury time to give them their first point of the league. Their next game is next Friday vs Dunmore at home.
Our 2 u-12s teams played Dunmore on Sunday morning, where they won one game and lost one. Thanks to all 40 kids for turning up. Next game should be against Monivea/Abbey at home in two weeks. Well done all. The Club Shop will be changing it's opening hours to Monday nights from 7.30pm-8.30pm
