We had no winner of our €17,950 lotto jackpot last Sunday night in Varley's. We had six match 3s sharing €150- Cathy Collins (Oranmore), Ciara O'Brien (Culleen), Nellie Casey (c/o Ryder's, Headford), May Newell, Lynsey Gibsey (Ashthorn Avenue), Fidelma O'Donnell (Ballyhale). Numbers drawn were 1-3-5-20.  Promoters prize went to Maria Noonan-Shanahan. Next week's draw will be for €18,100 and will be held in Campbell's Tavern on Sunday night.

All proceeds from this weeks lotto draw went towards funding our Under 14 Team who take part in this year Féile and who will host a team from another county. Thanks to St Fursey’s and all our collectors who were out in force selling lotto tickets in Joyce's Supermarket on Saturday. Marie & Padraic Heneghan, Sharon & Nathan Patterson, Julie & Fiacra Lee, Jenette & Sean Brady, Martina & Cian Earnor, Elaine & Iarla Stiffe, Mary & Matthew Cooper, Deirdre & Dara Halloran, Maria & Noah Noonan-Shanahan. Thanks to Joyces Supermarket for allowing us to collect on their premises.

It was a great start to the league for our Juniors on Sunday with a win away to Kilkerrin/Clonberne. This win was built on a strong defensive display as well as some excellent performances, particularly from some of our younger panel members. 3-4 to 0-8 the final score. Our next Division 5 game is scheduled for 2 weeks time vs Annaghdown at home.

The minors had to concede their first game of the league to Cortoon but are away to Mountbellew/Moylough on Wednesday at 6.45pm.

The u-16s play Killererin at home at 7pm this Tuesday in the opening game of the league.

Hard luck to the u-14s who lost out to Athenry by 3 points in the first game of the league on Sunday. They travel to play Kilconly this Friday in their next game, throw in at 7pm.

The u-12s also start their league this weekend, with 2 games away to Dunmore this Sunday morning.

Please Note

The prize amounts above are what each winner will receive.
