We had no winner of our lotto jackpot last Sunday night in the Angler's Rest Hotel. We had no match 3s so drew 5 lucky dips sharing €100 - John Joe Walsh (Kinlough), Andrew Reddington (Claran), Kenneth O'Toole (Curramore), Kevin Lee (Culleen) & Declan Murphy (Kilbeg). Numbers drawn were 14-19-21-30. Promoter's prize went to Teresa Audley/ Next week's draw will be for €12,850 and will be held in Varley's on Bank Holiday Monday night.
The Intermediates suffered a heavy defeat to Oranmore/Maree last Sunday in the league. This is a big blow to our hopes of being promoted from Division 3, but there are still 2 games to go. Our next game will be in the John Dunne Cup Quarter Final vs St. James'.
The u-16s had a remarkable win over Menlough last Tuesday in the league, 3-12 to 3-9 the final score. Down by 6 at half time, Headford came back to win by 3. We had no subs and finished with with just 11 on the field for the last 10 minutes after black cards and injuries. This result keeps the lads well in contention in the league table with the next game away to Cortoon on 14th August. Well done to our u-12 B team who had a dramatic 3-5 to 1-10, 1 point win over Dunmore last week to qualify for the Division 2 county final.
Well done to Headford resident and Galway Minor Hurling manager Jeffrey Lynskey on once again reaching the All-Ireland Final after defeating Dublin in Croke Park on Saturday. Huge well done to everyone involved in the Headford Cúl Camp. With over 220 children registered it was the second largest camp in the county this year.
Our Club Shop is open again this Friday evening from 7-8pm. New fashionable ladies half-zip now available. Great to see lots of gear sold in recent weeks to people home on holidays who are affiliated with the club but living overseas.
