Hard luck to the Galway Junior Footballers who lost the All-Ireland Final to Kerry on Saturday in Ennis. Our own clubmen Michael Day & Padraig Cunningham put in big performances on the day and were unlucky to come out on the losing side. The Club are very proud of Padraig, Michael, Aaron McDonagh, James O'Brien & Daniel Garvey who all played for Galway in the Championship

Our Juniors got off to a winning start in the Junior B championship on Friday night in Headford. The visitors Menlough started brightly and opened their account with a goal. Headford took a while to settle but 10 minutes into the first half they began to take control of proceedings picking of some great scores. Goals from Niall Egan and Pat Walsh had us in a commanding lead at half time. We took the foot off the gas in the second half as Menlough started to peg us back but a concession of a second half goal stopped Menlough's momentum and killed off the tie although to their credit they didn't stop fighting. Their final score being a stunning goal from all of 25 meters out but it was a case of too little too late as Headford were deserving winners on a scoreline of 4-13 to 4-5. Best on the day for Headford were Johnny Leahy, Christy Day and Cathal Newell.
