We had no winner of our lotto jackpot last Sunday night in Keady's Bar. We had three match 3 winners sharing €150 - M McDonagh (Mirehill), Breda Joyce (Carrowbeg), Conor Walsh (Carrowbeg). Numbers drawn were 5-8-17-23. Next week's draw will be for €12,250 and will be held in Ted McHugh's next Sunday night. The Intermediates drew with Annaghdown last Saturday in their final John Dunne Cup group game. The result was enough to see us through to the knockout stages of the competition. Our next game is in the league this Sunday as we travel to play Carna/Cashel,
throw in at 2pm. Headford Cúl Camp is on July 16th - 20th. Bookings now open open online on gaa.ie. The Club Shop is open again this Friday evening from 7-8pm in the clubhouse. A veil of sadness came over our club early last Monday morning when word started to filter through that one of our most loyal club members had slipped away to his eternal reward after fighting a long illness. TJ Keady a gentleman in every respect had been associated with our club for over the last twenty years. Not a man for the limelight TJ did phenomenal work fundraising for the club. He went about his work selling lotto tickets for our club week in week out over the last twenty years and despite his illness he was still selling tickets up to last Sunday. His financial return to our club has been unmeasurable and words could not thank him enough. To his heartbroken family, Margaret his wife, Jarlath & Ronan his sons, Orla & Frances his daughters in laws and to his grand children Eanna & Moya we extend our heartfelt sympathy. No doubt when he meets St Peter at the gate he will probably take 5 euro off him for a ticket. “Ar Dheis de go raigh a ainm uasal” Please Note
