We had no winner of our lotto jackpot last Sunday night in Varley's. We had two match 3s - Kayla Murphy (Kilbeg) & Kathy Murphy (Kilbeg). Numbers drawn were 4-6-20-28. Promoter's prize went to Tommie Bane. Next week's draw will be for €11,650 and will be held in Cambell's Tavern this Sunday.
Our Intermediates defeated Caherlistrane in the John Dunne Cup on Bank Holiday Monday in Headford. Final score 2-10 to 0-11. The result leaves us with a win and a draw with just our final group game vs Annaghdown left to play next month. We now play Killererin at home this Sunday at 2pm in Division 3 of the league. The Juniors are down to play Corofin this Tuesday in Corofin and then play Annaghdown at home this Friday at 8pm.
Well done to Moate All Whites who took the Mattie Reddington Cup home to Westmeath after a 1 point win in the final vs Caherlistrane on Saturday. Tourlestrane GAA of Sligo won the Shield, while Moate also won the Plate Final. Some great football was played by all the teams throughout the tournament, well done to everyone who took part. Thanks to all who helped out in any way to organise the event as part of Headfest, particularly Tony O Reilly who put in a huge effort as always. Finally thanks to the Reddington family for their continued support.
