Our u-20s produced a stunning injury time comeback to takevictory in the opening round Championship game of this new age group (which is replacing the u-21 grade) lastSaturday in Caltra, final score 2-7 to 2-6. Disappointingly, we travelled to Caltra with just 15 playersavailable, with a number missing for various reasons. But what we lacked innumbers on the day we made up for in determination and attitude.

We had some fine performances from Donagh Murphy at midfield, Colin O’Reillyrock solid at full back, and James Lee. While Geoffrey Corbett, Gavin Lee, Niall Egan, Eoghan Halloran & Daragh Geraghty also played very well. Full report on our Facebook page.

We now face another tough away trip in the next round, St.Gabriel’s await in round 2. That game is due to be played this weekend. Keep aneye on our Facebook page for details.

Team – Robert Forde, Daragh Geraghty, Colin O’Reilly, Seán Monaghan, GeoffreyCorbett, Conor O’Malley, Gavin Lee, Alan Toher, Donagh Murphy (1-0), James Lee, ConorWalsh (0-1), Eoghan Halloran,  Thomas Newell,Niall Egan (1-5), Seán Forde.
