We had no winner of our Lotto Jackpot for €5,150 on Sunday night in Varley's. We had five match 3 winners sharing €150 - Michael Cawley (Dalgan, Shrule), Joan Holden (Mausrevagh), Aran McHugh (Headford), Kevin McLoughlin (Corrandulla), Michael Hughes (Ellagh). Numbers drawn 3-6-8-9. Promoter's prize went to Niall Egan. Next week's draw will be for €5,300 and will be held next Sunday night in Campbell's Tavern. The Intermediates bowed out of the John Dunne Cup last Saturday after a slender 2-12 to 2-11 defeat by senior side St. James' in Headford. After a sluggish start we settled well and the ideal conditions allowed us to play some good football throughout the rest of the game. Disappointingly we narrowly missed out on the win which would have seen us into the quarter final of the competition. In what was a solid team performance, Cathal Newell, Kevin Carey, Steven Nally & Sean Meenaghan were among our best players. We now have a 3 week gap to prepare for our opening Division 3 league game vs Spiddal, with the possibility of having a challenge game vs The Neale next Saturday. The minors play round 2 & 3 of the league in the next week. On Wednesday (29th) they travel to play Caltra at 6.45pm, while next Monday (3rd) we are fixed to take on Milltown in Headford also at 6.45. All support appreciated for both games. The u-14s begin their league campaign with a short away trip to neighbours Caherlistrane at 7pm Tuesday (28th). Please Note
