Ted Web
Well done once again to Niall Egan and Louis McGeehan who were involved in the Galway u-16 team that played two further games in the Ted Webb Competition. They beat Sligo by 9 points and lost to Galway City/West in the Cup Semi Final. However this was enough to see them qualify for the Ted Webb Shield Final which will be played on 5th August vs Roscommon.

Our minors had a dramatic 4-11 to 4-10 away victory over Dunmore in the first round of the Championship last Thursday evening. We began the game brightly and despite losing Mike O'Brien to an injury after 20 minutes we led at half time by a 4 point margin. After the break we held firm and actually headed further in front until a disastrous 10 minute spell ended with us conceding a total of 3 goals and 2 points and suddenly we found ourselves 5 points behind midway through the second half. We battled on as goals were scored on both sides in what was fast becoming a ding dong battle between the teams. Gradually we closed the gap until just before the end we found ourselves level and managed to score the winner in the dying moments. It was an excellent game of football and credit must go to both sides. Our battling qualities were shown and dragged us through to the winners group of the competition with the draw for that yet to be made. In truth it was a team performance first and foremost but in particular Niall Egan, Conor O'Malley & Conor Walsh had very good games.
New version of the club jerseys in juvenile sizes have arrived. At the moment we have size 9-10yrs and size 10-11yrs and both are fairly large fitting. We hope to have size 5-6yrs , 7-8yrs and 12-13yrs within the next 2 weeks. They are all priced at €35 each and are the version that the club will be using for at least the next 3 years.
They will be available after training every Wed and Thurs at 8:30 in the clubhouse for the next few weeks, just come along and ask any of the coaches.
Cùl Camp
Our Cúl Camp was a fantastic success last week with over 140 kids enjoying the 5 day camp. A big thanks to the coaches who worked hard and made the week a very fun one for the children. A highlight of the week was The Nestor Cup arriving on Tuesday with victorious Galway players Paul Conroy, Adrian Varley and Paul Mannion. Thanks to the lads for the visit, for answering all those difficult questions, and for signing autographs.
Under 10
The u-10's play Caherlistrane next Saturday at 11am in Headford.
