We had no winner of our Lotto Jackpot for €11,300 last Sunday night in the Thatch Bar. We had two match 3 winners sharing €150 - Ita Lydon (Annaghdown) & Nelly Casey (c/o Ryder's). Numbers drawn were 8-12-17-30. Promoter's prize went to St. Fursey's Ladies GAA. Next week's draw will be for €11,450 and will be held in the Headford Arms on Sunday night.

Its was a disappointing loss as they played well below par for the majority of the game. Headfords downfall being their passing and just coughing up possession time after time during the game. Headford held the lead for most of the first half and went in at half time 6 points to 5 up but a poor showing in the second half scoring only two points while Athenry kicked 4 resulted in a win for the visitors by the smallest of margins. Majority of scores from both sides coming from placed balls. Next weekend we are down to play league leaders Clonbur away in what is now a must win game to keep our promotion hopes alive. Our Junior B side we due to play Claregalway last weekend in the league but that game has been postponed to a later date. They now play away to Glinsk this weekend in Division 5, with that game provisionally down for Sunday at 11am. You can book your summer Cúl Camp now online at kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. The Headford camp takes place from 18th-22nd July in our club grounds. We had 3 winners in the Predict the score competition for the Galway vs Mayo match. Congratulations to Mary O Malley (Cloonkeely), Frank Thornton (Cloughanover) and Mike Deven (c/o Tony O Reilly). Each receives €70. Thanks to all the players, club members, shops and bars that sold the lines and most importantly all those who supported the fundraiser.
