We had no winner of our Lotto Jackpot for €10,250 last Sunday night in the Anglers Rest Hotel. We had two match 3 winners - Moya Keady - Portumna & Julia Holleran - Carnakib. Numbers drawn were 8-11-21-30. Promoter's prize went to Pot Luck. Next week's draw will be for €10,400 and will be in Varleys on Sunday night. Our Intermediate league game with Ballinasloe that was re-scheduled for last Friday was again been postponed. We are in championship action this weekend when we take on hot favourites Kilkerrin/Clonberne in the first round in Kenny Park, Athenry. Throw in time for that game is at 7:15pm and it would be great to see a large crowd there to support the team and management on championship day.
Hard luck to the team and management of the u-16s who lost the league final today vs Oranmore-Maree on a scoreline of 5-4 to 1-7. After a fantastic league campaign they were unlucky to come up short today. If they can bring that league form forward into their championship campaign they will be a team to watch once again.
The u-14s play away to Glenamaddy-Glinsk this Wednesday at 7pm.
Well done to the Galway Juniors and especially to our very own Michael Day on qualifying for the Connacht Final vs Mayo after a good win over Leitrim in Tuam last week. Mike managed 2 points from midfield on the evening.
