Draw took place on Monday night in Greenfield.

We had no Jackpot winner but we had 4 match 3 winners they were,

The Junior B's served up an exciting encounter when they took on Caherlistrane last Friday evening in the league. Eventually the visitors Caherlistrane deservedly picked up the points, the final score 1-10 to 1-7. In what was a low scoring first half we only scored 2 points, both from play from Alan Bane and Adrian Watters. Caherlistrane held the lead 0-5 to 0-2 at the break. The game opened up in the second half and after just five minutes of the second period it was 0-6 to 0-4, Alan Bane again proving a handful at full forward for Headford. Our backs defended very well throughout the game but Caherlistrane tightened their grip on proceedings as they went 0-8 to 0-4 in front as the game headed into the last ten minutes. Justin Ryan cut the gap to three once again before a Caherlistrane goal looked to have killed the game. Headford however came back once more and a superb finish to the net from Dylan Cunningham left the gap at five. Alan Bane and Adrian Watters added scores but Headford just ran out of a time in their efforts at a comeback. Despite the loss it was a good performance all round from the team, particularly from the defence. Best for us on the day were Conor O'Malley, James O'Brien, , Christopher Day, Darragh Bane & Dylan Cunningham.

 

Hard luck to the u-14s who have been knocked out the Championship after suffering defeat in a replay of the first round clash away to Clarenbridge. The year is not over for them however, as they now go into a Shield Championship. Our u-10's are due to play away to Craughwell next Saturday at 11am.
