In a hard fought battle, no quarter was asked or given, and only tiny margins separated the teams on a score-line of 1-08 to 0-07. Well done to both teams for the honesty of effort in a unique, true contest, that sent us home exhausted but enthralled on a September School-Night. Winners All! Thanks to Referee Tom Browne and his officials. Also thanks to Michael Ryderof Coiste Peile na nÓg for an excellently organised evening. The Under 17 Boys died with their boots on when they lost an enthralling Championship match out in Carraroe against the home side on a score-line of 0-18 to 0-16 after extra time. Kane Campbell top-scored with 0-10. James Keenan 0-2, Luca Mac Giolla Rí, Conor Cloherty, Seán Butler and Dillon Gacquin 0-1 each – with some brilliant saves from JJ Philips in goal.
