The Club’s mens’ Junior team had a comprehensive victory over Fr Griffins-Éire Óg in Division 4B West of the League on Sunday last. Team: B. Sheridan, M. Fogarty, J. Downes & C. Keane. R. Mac Giolla Rí, F. Cruise & C. Horan. C. Meagher & D. McGovern. C. Morley, D. Sinton & E. Fiorentini. G. Meally, P. McTigue & D. Thornton. Subs: M. Caffrey, A. Ryan, S. Flaherty-Shaw, C. Mannion, S. Daly & B. Carew. Their next outing is this Sunday (Easter Sunday) at 12 noon Summer Time in the Westside where they will host Renvyle who will travel in despite the hour less in bed. (Keep an eye on Social Media in case there are last minute changes!)
St Michaels’ Intermediate men will have the opportunity to steer a more northerly course than their inauspicious start to Division one of the League when they host Bearna on Saturday evening at 5pm. It’s our first home game of the Season and it would be great to see the team & management getting proper home support and starting the year on the right foot. There will be refreshments available in the Clubhouse afterwards.
Best of luck to the Under 11 Management, players and parents who will be in Croke Park on Thursday week 04th April where our two squads will get to play matches on the hallowed turf from 10am before they have a tour of the GAA Museum in the afternoon. It should be a day to remember for young and old.
The month of April sees The Club Football scene getting very busy with the Under 17 and Under 19 Leagues, Division 1 and 4B men’s leagues and Junior B Championship all being contested by St Michaels. The Club’s Juvenile Under 13,15 & 16s will also feature in April.
Lotto: Numbers drawn in this week’s Peter Curran Electric St Michaels’ GAA Club Draw were: 04-08-12-19. There was no winner of the jackpot. Paul Tierney c/o Helen @ The Sliding Rock won Match 3 prize. Paul very generously requested that his prize be returned in to the Club’s Accounts, for which the Lotto Committee are most thankful. This week’s draw will take place on Tuesday night for a jackpot of €2,300.00. Thank you for your continued support.
