West Intermediate Championship
We play Rockwell Rovers in Golden on Wednesday 3rd June at 7.30pm Junior A Football
Following on from last years surge to the county final we kicked off this year with our group opener against Arravale Rovers. We failed to take our chances and lost out to a strong Tipp Town side on a scoreline of 3-05 to 0-06.
The team lined out as follows: Joey Nolan, Eamonn Wade, Greg Kennedy, Paul Ryan, Andy O’Brien, Sean Hickey, Donncha O’Brien, Eamonn O’Toole, Padraig O’Leary, Liam O’Toole, Denis Stapleton, Billy Corcoran, Darragh Kennedy, Declan O’Toole, PJ McLoughlin. We played Solohead in the opening game of group 2, we got off to a bad start when our opponents surged into a 5 point lead however we gained a foothold in the game and hopes of a comeback were raised when Sean Kennedy crashed the ball to the net however Solohead held their nerve and hung on for the win on a scoreline of 1-14 to 1-12
