There was no winner of the jackpot prize
of 11800 which means that next weeks draw will be up to 12100.There was
also no winner of the 1000 jackpot draw.
The club AGM was held last weekend in the new hall, a good crowd attended
though it was down somewhat on last year. This year the club once again will be
competing in senior hurling, intermediate football, Junior A hurling, Junior B
football and U/21 B hurling and football. U/21 football is scheduled to take
place in the next fortnight. They had a challenge match already last Sunday morning
against Mullinahone against Mullinahone and though the lads were short a number
of regulars the challenge was very worthwhile and the game finished with a few points
win for Mullinahone.
This weekend the senior hurlers have a meeting this Friday night with their new
trainer Barney Loughnane from
Kilruane MacDonagh.
Also Donnacha and Marieke Carr are having a celebration of their wedding this Saturday
night in the Bride House. A Christy Moore tribute band will play on the night
starting at eight while Mitch Barry will DJ afterwards.
All are invited to attend this celebration.
