The draw for this week’s lotto took place Tuesday evening
in the Dells Bar. There was no winner of the jackpot prize of €12100 which
means that next weeks draw will be up to €12400.There was also no winner of the
€1000 jackpot draw. The numbers drawn were 13, 19, 21, 23

It was a quiet week on the sports front. Last Friday night the junior hurlers easily qualified for the west semi final stages of the competition easily overcoming the weak challenge of Rosegreen. The final scoreline was Golden 1-19, Rosegreen 1-2. The juniors now play Cashel in the west semi final in two weeks time on Saturday 12 September in New Inn.
Elsewhere the u/21 hurlers continued their preparations for the west final next wednesday night with a good challenge against Moyle Rovers last night. Golden were missing a few for the game and we hope all will be available for the big match next week.
The senior hurlers also played a challenge last Tuesday night against the Kickhams in the field. Both sides were under strength on the night but it still was a very good work out for both sides. Both teams are out the week after the All Ireland final in Cashel with Golden taking on Killenaule followed by Kickhams V Thurles Sarsfields.
