The draw for this weeks lotto took place yesterday evening in the Dells Bar. There was no winner of the jackpot prize of €9000 which means that next weeks draw will be up to €9500 There was also no winner of the €1000 euro draw. The numbers drawn were 4, 12, 14, 15

On the sports front the senior hurlers had a very good win in their opening challenge match against Gortnahoe in Holycross. Even though Golden were missing a few, the lads hurled very well and got some great scores over the hour. The final score was Golden 1-12 Gortnahoe 0-10. The next challenge match for the senior hurlers takes place this coming Wednesday night up in Abbeyleix at 7.30. At the weekend the seniors play Emeralds of Kilkenny in the final challenge match of the week and at 1.30 on Sunday they play Bansha in the Croscso cup replay in Cashel. So a very busy week all round for the lads.
Elsewhere the Juniors had a very good win over Annacarthy in the Junior B championship last Wednesday night. In what was a must win game the lads led from start to finish to win by 0-12 to 0-6. They now play their final game against Rosegreen on a date yet to be set.
