The lotto numbers drawn were 1, 8, 25, 29. We had no jackpot or match 3s winners. The seller's prize went to Patricia Langan. Next week’s jackpot is €2,300 with the draw in Rafterys.
MENS NOTES:
Our All-Ireland Medal Presentation Social takes place on Saturday May 23rd in the Claregalway Hotel starting at 7.30 pm. Our guest of honour on the night will be President of the GAA, Aoghán Ó Fearghail who will be presenting the All-Ireland medals to the senior team. MC for the occasion will be Ollie Turner. The under 21 championship winning team will also be presented with their medals. Music is by Marley Road Band.
Tickets, costing €30, can be got in Raftery’s Post Office, Canavan’s Belclare, Michael Ryder Auctioneers, Tuam and from committee members.
The intermediate league game versus Clifden takes place on Saturday, 16 May at 7.00 pm in Corofin.
Our juniors play Milltown at 7.30 pm in Milltown also on Saturday evening.
Our minors lost out to Mountbellew-Moylough in the final minor A football league game. Three teams, Corofin, Mountbellew-Moylough and Monivea-Abbey all finished level on points. The league playoffs are deferred until after the Leaving Cert.
Well done to the Under 14s who had a great win over a strong Glenamaddy/Glinsk team in poor weather conditions in Glenamaddy in the league on Sunday. They play Caherlistrane at 7.00 pm in Corofin on Friday evening.
The presentation on medals to the Under 13 and Under 14 teams from last year took place in the West Wing Restaurant on Sunday evening. The Under 13's won the league competition while the Under 14's won the league, championship shield and were runners up in the Féile Competition. Sincere thanks to senior players Gary Sice, Michéal Lundy, Liam Silke, Barry O'Donovan and Ciaran McGrath, together with Club Chairman, Michael Ryder for presenting the medals. It was great for the young players to have the senior players in attendance together with the Andy Merrigan Cup.
Under 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 continue their training on Saturday morning in Belclare at 10.
Thanks to ‘Fundamental Fitness’ for their time on Saturday morning in coaching our trainers and the under 6 to under 10 players.
