LOTTO:



Congratulations to Emily Coen, Ardskeamore who wins our lotto jackpot of €17,600.  The numbers drawn were 7, 8, 14, 17.  We had three match 3s – Patsy McNamara, Carole Canney and Wayne Ryan.  The seller's prize went to Terry Delaney.  Next week’s jackpot is €2,000 with the draw in the Cellar Bar.



 



MENS NOTES:



Best wishes to the Galway senior footballers who take on New York in the Connacht Senior Championship Preliminary Round in New York next Sunday.  The game starts at 8.00 pm (3.00 pm local time).  Good luck to our Club players involved and to Brian Silke (selector).



 



We wish a speedy recovery to our players who are receiving treatment for various injuries at the moment.  We hope they will all be back fighting fit later in the summer.



 



Our seniors lost to Mountbellew/Moylough in the John Dunne Cup played in Mountbellew last Thursday on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-11. 



 



The junior A team play Annaghdown on Saturday in the league at 5.00 pm in Cregg.           



 



Our minors defeated Annaghdown by 0-11 to 1-8 in the minor A football league, played last Wednesday in Annaghdown.   They play Tuam Stars this Wednesday evening at 7.00 pm in Corofin.



 



Hard luck to the under 14s who lost by 4 points to Glenamaddy/Glinsk in a tight semi-final of Féile, played in Glenamaddy on Saturday.   The team had won all their group games earlier in the day with victories over St Michael’s, Tuam Stars and the host club, Caherlistrane.  Glenamaddy/Glinsk lost out to Salthill-Knocknacarra in the final on Sunday.  The under 14 team returns to action with a league game against Mountbellew/Moylough at 7.00 pm on Friday in Corofin. 



 



Under 6,8 and 10 continue their training on Saturday morning at 10 in Belclare.



 



The Raftery Cup starts tomorrow evening (Thursday ) at 6.15 in Belclare.   The second round takes place on Tuesday 5th of May also at 6.15 in Belclare.   Come and support our young players.



 



Many thanks to all who supported our Nathan Carter concert in the Radisson Hotel on Saturday night. All enjoyed a great night. 



 



The Club Shop opens on Fridays from 7.00 to 9.00 pm and on Sundays from 10.30 to 12.30 pm.  The shop is located beside Raftery’s Centra.

Ladies Football:



U6/U8 training continues in Belclare every Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm.



U10s training are on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s in Belclare from 6pm to 7pm.



U12 training for the week ahead is as follows:  the B team train on Monday 27th from 6.45 – 8.00 pm and Wednesday 29th from 6.00 – 7.00 pm;  the A team train on Tuesday 28th from 6.00 – 7.15pm.



We wish good luck to our U14 girls as Féile starts this Saturday the 2nd in Clonbere / Caherlistrane / Knockdoemore / Moycullen.   The first round of the league starts on Monday, 4 May.



 



U16s training is on Friday in Belclare from 6.00 to 7.00 pm. 



 



Congrats to our club players and team Mentor Brian O’Donovan who are part of the County U14 panel that defeated Roscommon in the 4th round of the Connacht U 14 Championship.



 



Wishing good luck to our County U16 club players, Leanne Coen, Orla Canney, Emily Donnelly, Amy O’Donovan and Amy Coen and Team Mentor Stephen Hession, when they play Sligo on Friday next.



 



Wishing good luck to our County U18 club players, Dearbhla Gower and Chelsey Blade and the rest of the team when they Play Mayo on Monday 4th in the Connaught Final.



 



Congrats and well done to the Galway senior Ladies in their win over Dublin last Sunday. This qualifies them for an Ireland League final versus Cork in Parnell Park on the 9th May.   We have 7 Girls on the panel.  We can organise a bus on the day to go support the girls.  Anyone interested in joining us, should contact David (086 2350004) or Sharon (087 1470921).



 



Corofin Ladies held a very successful Player Registration Evening last Friday. Anyone who could not register at that event is reminded that LGFA registrations are now due. Parental Consent Registration forms are available from team managers and all underage players need to provide a completed form and the registration fee before they can be registered. Registration fees for 2015 are Under 10 on 1st January 2015 €30, 10 to 18 years old €45, Adult players €60 and non-playing Club members €30. Please supply forms and fees to our Registrar, Gina O'Grady, as soon as possible.
