MENS NOTES:

As St. Patrick’s Day draws closer everybody in the parish sends their best wishes to Michael Farragher (captain), Stephen Rochford (manager), the players and the management team as they put their final preparations in place for the All-Ireland Club Final against Slaughtneil of Derry.  The game takes place on St. Patrick’s Day in Croke Park, with throw in at 4.00 pm.  We have no doubt that all the hard work, dedication and commitment displayed by the entire panel will ensure that we bring the Andy Merrigan Cup to our parish for the first time since 1998.

Tickets for the game can be purchased in SuperValu, Tuam or on line at www.gaa.ie.

Best wishes to our twelve under 12 players who will be playing at the half time interval at the game.  Congratulations also to the five under 8s who will be forming a guard of honour as the senior teams enter the pitch.

Our Funding Race Night proved to be a great success.  Thanks to our race sponsors, our advertisers, our dedicated ticket sellers and especially the people of the parish and beyond who supported us.  It was great to see all the positivity and goodwill that has been shown to us.  A special word of thanks must go to our hard working committee who put in long hours in organising the event.  Thanks to our event coordinator, Fintan Forde, and his team of Michael Ryder, Jimmy McHugh, John Raftery, Jimmy Sice, Marguerite Keane, Tom Duggan and John Fahey.
