LOTTO: There was no winner of the lotto jackpot and four match 3s – Paul Stephens, Ann Melvin, Cathal Burke, Francis Tyrell. The numbers drawn were 5, 7, 20, 26. Next week's jackpot is for €16,250 with the draw in the Hibernian Bar. MENS NOTES: Corofin senior footballers ended All-Ireland champions St Vincent's 27-month unbeaten run with a thrilling five-point semi-final win in Tullamore on Saturday. The team showed a tremendous work ethic from start to finish and were well-deserving winners. Many thanks to our brilliant supporters, the many supporters from clubs around Galway and to all who sent us messages of congratulations on social media. It is well merited by a superb team and a great bunch of guys. If you still haven’t read all about Saturday’s win in the papers / media, check out our website – Corofingaa.ie. We will play Slaughtneil of Derry on St Patrick's Day, as they also scored 1-14 in their one point win over Austin Stacks (Kerry). The Club is holding a fundraising “Night at the Dogs” in the Galway Greyhound Stadium on Saturday 7 March. All monies raised will go towards the senior team’s training fund in preparation for the All-Ireland Final. We will have further details shortly. We had a good start to our day as our Under 9s also played St Vincent’s in Tullamore on Saturday morning. Well done to all involved. The coaches and mentors want to thank all the parents for getting the panel to Tullamore and for their support for the under 9's and the senior team afterwards. Please note that the under age ‘train the trainer’ course has been changed to Wednesday 25th of February in the Belclare gym at 8.00 pm. The parents of those on the under 14 panel are asked to confirm their son’s availability for next Sunday’s match against St Bridget’s as soon as possible with John Finnegan.
