MENS NOTES:

The seniors continued their good run in the league with a 5-13 to 1-10 win over Menlough, played in Menlough last Saturday.  Corofin now top the table after 3 rounds.  Their next league game is on Sunday 4 May against Naomh Anna, Leitir Móir in Corofin.

Our intermediates were defeated by Barna in the league on Sunday on a scoreline of Barna 3-10 to Corofin 1-9.

All support is welcome for the under 21s, who play Dunmore in the North Board A Semi-final in Tuam Stadium this Saturday 26 April at 5.00 pm.

The minors play Glenamaddy/Glinsk in the league in Glenamaddy at 7.00 pm this Wednesday evening.

The U-16s played a league game on Tuesday evening against Glenamaddy/Glinsk in Glenamaddy.

LADIES FOOTBALL:

Under 10 training continues every Tuesday at 6.15 in Belclare and again every Thursday at 6.15 in Corofin.

Under 12 training on Thursday 24th and Tuesday the 29th in Belclare @ 6.15.

U16s play Moycullen in the league, this Wednesday 23rd in Belclare at 6pm.  Last weeks game ended in a draw, Corofin 7-4 to Claregalway 6-7.

Corofin Ladies Senior team won their first League match of the season versus Killanin on Good Friday.  In the first half Corofin played good attacking football and scored three fine goals that helped us lead comfortably at half time.  The second half required resilient defending as Killanin came back at us, particularly during a period when we had a player yellow carded, and we held out for a single point victory with a final score of Corofin 3-9 Killanin 0-17.  Thank you to all the players who, in the face of our injury crisis, made special arrangements to be at the match or break from study to play.  Congratulations to Amy O'Donovan and Chloe Langan, two of our aspiring U16 players, who made their debut for the Seniors and fitted in very well.

Tickets remain available from David Gower 086 2350004 for the important Galway Ladies Football fundraiser night at Galway Greyhound Stadium on Saturday 3rd May.  All money raised will be going into running the competitions our Club teams participate in and towards fielding all the Inter County teams many of our players and coaches are actively involved in. Ladies Football is not part of the GAA and will not be receiving any Sky money, so it is vital to our sport that we support fundraisers of this kind.
