There was No winner of lotto jackpot or match 3s. The numbers drawn were 2, 13, 23, 28. Next week's jackpot is €6,650, with draw in The Cellar Bar.

MENS NOTES:
Congratulations to our Under 21s who had an excellent win over Salthill - Knocknacarra in the U21A county final played in Pearse Stadium this Saturday. The team put in a superb all-round performance to win by 3-11 to 1-11, having led by 2-6 to 1-3 at half time. This victory was achieved despite injury to a number of key players. In addition Liam Silke, man of the match in the North board final, had to retire injured after only 15 mins. All in the Club wish Liam a speedy recovery from the broken collarbone, which he suffered in the game. Best wishes Liam. The man of the match award went to Seán Silke.

Well done to all the panel and management team who have worked together since last December.

Our seniors play their final game of the year on Saturday 7 December, when they take on Milltown in the division 1A football league final. The game takes place in Tuam Stadium at 1.30 pm with referee Martin Flaherty.

Corofin Under 13 team won the David Canney Memorial Cup on Sunday, defeating Barna on a scoreline of 5-12 to 4-7 in an entertaining final played in Belclare. Seán, Geraldine and Shane Canney are pictured with Dean Hynes, captain of the winning Corofin team.
Our under 13 team finished the season on a high note on Sunday winning the David Canney Memorial Cup defeating Barna on a scoreline of 5-12 to 4-6 in an entertaining final played in Belclare. After the game Seán Canney, on behalf of the Canney and McHugh families, complimented both teams on an excellent game of football and encouraged the players to continue to play the game. He also thanked the Corofin Club for organising the competition, which is now in its eighteenth year. Shane Canney presented the cup to Dean Hynes, the captain of the Corofin team. Jimmy Sice, on behalf of the club thanked the Canney’s for their continued support of the Corofin GAA Club and said that it was a privilege to organise the competition in honour of David who represented the club at U8, U10 and U12 before his untimely death.

This concludes a successful season for the under 13’s who won three competitions throughout the year – the North Board League, the Colm Cooper Tournament in Killarney and the David Canney Cup. Thanks to all who helped on Sunday with the soup tea and sandwiches.
Corofin GAA club would like to thank all the underage coaches for their time in managing and coaching the players during the year. The year started back in February with under 16 training and finished last Sunday with the under13s winning the David Canney Memorial Cup. So it was a long year for all. A special thanks also to the parents for their time in bringing the player to training and matches.
Under 8's had their final training session of the year on Saturday. They have had a great year, thanks to the dedication (and patience) of their trainers Alan, Cecil, Brian, Frank and Brian. Thanks guys! Boys were delighted when Gary Sice joined the training on Saturday and presented their medals.

Please note that the club AGM takes place on Friday, 6 December 2013 @ 7.30 pm in St Colman's Room, Corofin.

The Corofin Community Development Association (CCDA) are hosting a Gala Concert in St. Colman’s Church, Corofin on Sunday 8th December commencing at 8.00 pm. The concert will feature multi-platinum selling Christian, country gospel and Irish singer, James Kilbane. Tickets, priced at €20, are now on sale from local businesses – Rafterys Corofin & Claregalway, Canavans Belclare, Keanes in Corofin and Arch Barbers in Tuam.

The club offers its sympathies to Fintan Forde on the death of his aunt, Peggy Burnell, RIP, Tubber, Co Clare.
