Our lotto jackpot is now €6,500, as we had no winner of the jackpot & no match 3s. The numbers drawn were 6, 20, 23, 30. Next week's draw takes place in the Man of Aran, Tuam.
MENS NOTES:
Congrats to our Intermediate team who won the Division 2B Football League Final on Saturday defeating Ballinasloe on a final score of Corofin 4-7 to Ballinasloe 1-6.
Corofin started slowly and were 1-1 down after 5 minutes. However they gained the upper hand as the half wore on and scored 4-3 to Ballinasloe’s 3 points for the remainder of the half. The goals came from Dylan Wall (2 great goals), Justin Burke and Shane Monaghan. This Corofin goal blitz effectively ended the game as a contest by half time. In the second half Corofin were on top again, but didn’t make the most of their chances and scored 4 points to Ballinasloe’s tally of 2 points.
Well done to all involved.
Best of luck to our Under 21s who take on Salthill - Knocknacarra in the U21A county final in Pearse Stadium next Saturday at 2.30 pm, with referee Brendan Kinneavy. Please support the lads as they play the final game in this competition, having won their first game way back on 2 February last.
Please note that the club AGM takes place on Friday, 6 December 2013 @ 7.30 pm in St Colman's Room, Corofin.
Congratulations to the Galway Under 21 football team, who have been named as the Galway Bay FM team of the year.
The David Canney memorial cup final will be played on this Sunday at 12.00 in Belclare between Corofin and Bearna. Come along and support this u13 tournament.
Under 8's play their end of year blitz in Belclare on Saturday at 10.00 am. Members of the senior team will present them with their medals after the blitz.
