MENS NOTES:
Although we lost by a single point to Castlebar Mitchels, in the Connacht championship semi-final on Sunday in Tuam Stadium, on a scoreline of 2-8 to 1-10, we are proud of the team’s achievements all year. The players and the management team deserve tremendous credit for the dedication, effort and commitment displayed in winning the county title and throughout the campaign. Many thanks to our supporters and to all who send best wishes on Facebook and Twitter.
Sincere thanks to all who supported our Fundraising Auction held in the Palm Tree, Ballyglunin on Saturday night. The wide range of items auctioned is a testament to the support that the club continues to get from the businesses and individuals in the community. Great credit is due to those who attended the auction and purchased items making it a very successful fundraising event for the club. Thanks especially to our club chairman and auctioneer on the night, Michael Ryder.

Our juniors take on Ballinasloe in the Division 2B Football League Final in Duggan Park, Ballinasloe on Saturday next at 2.30, with referee: PJ Rabbitte. As ever, all support is welcome.

The winner of our Sports Prediction Competition is Adrian Silke. Adrian wins €500 - congrats and well done. The fulll results and other prizewinners will be published on the club website shortly. The final two events were the hurler and footballer of the year. Nobody predicted Tony Kelly for hurling, while Eanna Langan, Ray Silke and Eoin Higgins Snr were the only people to predict Michael Darrragh Macauley for football.

LADIES NOTES:
Hard luck to the Under 16s who lost out to Kilkerrin/Clonberne in the Championship last Saturday.
Hard luck also to senior men who were beaten in the Connacht Club Semi-Final last Sunday.
