LOTTO:
There was no winner of the lotto jackpot and two match 3s Niall Monaghan and Ena Boyle. The numbers drawn were 2 - 16 - 18 – 21. Next week’s jackpot is € 5,450 with the draw in Man of Aran.
MEN’S NOTES:
Our senior footballers play Salthill / Knocknacarra in the county championship final on Sunday 13 October in Tuam Stadium. As they aim to win the club's 15th county title, you can send good luck wishes to the team and also help support the club with some of the substantial expenses involved in preparing a team for, and taking part in a county final. Full details are on the club website – www.corofingaa.ie.
In addition we are running a “predict the score in the county final” competition. Lines are on sale this week for €2 each. Winner will receive a Corofin football jersey in his/her size and an O'Neills football signed by the senior team.
Congratulations to the U14 girls who won the final of the Kilmacud 7s, defeating St Val's, Cork by 10-5 to 10-3 in the final played last Saturday.
The Under 15s play Monivea on Sunday in Monivea.
Congratulations our Under 13s who have qualified for the league final, defeating Bearna by 2-8 to 2-5 on Friday evening. In the final they will play the winners of Claregalway and Bearna.
The James Collins memorial under 12 cup was played on Saturday in Belclare. Sincere thanks to John Finnegan for organising the tournament and to the Collins family for putting up the cup. Thanks to all the players, parents and mentors for making it such a successful year. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2014!
Under 10s play St Bridget's on Saturday morning in Corofin at 11.00 am.
Under 8s continue training in Belclare on Saturday at 10.00 am.
Under 6s had their end of year blitz on Saturday. The club would like to Ciaran Lynch, Ger Comer, Michael O’Malley Pat O’Malley, Brian Murphy and Liam Cawley for training the lads this year.
Corofin GAA Club Prediction Quiz Current has a new leader – Patrick Collins. The table has had four events added since the last update – football, hurling, ladies football All-Irelands and top scorer. Full details are displayed on the "Prediction Quiz" tab on the club website.
Congrats to all who took part in the Diamond Hill Walk last Saturday. It was a glorious day in the Connemara National Park. To see how we all made it to the top, visit the club website for a selection of photos from the day. Thanks to everybody for taking part, fund-raising, support and entertaining!
LADIES NOTES:
Senior County Final replay, Corofin vs Kilkerrin/Clonberne will be played in Monivea pitch at 3pm Sunday 6th October, best of luck ladies and please come out to support.
Corofin Under 14 girls travelled to Dublin for the Kilmacud Crokes 7s at the weekend and won the final, defeating St Val's, Cork by 10-5 to 10-3 in the final.
U10 girls play in their end of year blitz this Saturday October 5th in Annaghdown pitch from 11am, best of luck girls and please support.
