Lotto jackpot not won, but three match 3s – Thomas Monaghan, Shane Monaghan and Frank Higgins. Numbers drawn this week were 8, 15, 19, 22. Next week's jackpot is €5,150 with the draw in Gills.
MENS NOTES:
Congratulations and well done to our senior footballers who have qualified for the County Final, in which they play Salthill / Knocknacarra on October 13.
In the semi-final, played in Tuam on Sunday evening, Corofin defeated Milltown on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-9, having led at half time by 0-6 to 0-5. Despite playing with 14 men for the entire second half, Corofin dominated the play and emerged deserving winners.
Many thanks for the great support given to the team.Next Saturday, Corofin will be amongst 32 of the finest clubs from all over Ireland playing in the Kilmacud Crokes annual FBD Sevens tournament. Having lost out to St. Galls in the dramatic 2012 decider, Corofin play in Group 6 on Saturday with Parnell’s Dublin,
Kickhams Creggan Antrim, and St Laurence’s Kildare. Games commence in Silverpark at 11.00 am. Best of luck to all involved.Corofin lost to Tuam Stars by 3-7 to 1-6 in the North Board Junior A Final. Thanks to all players and mentors for their hard work in geeting to the final.Congrats to Dylan McHugh, Ciaran Brady and Alan Broderick selected on Galway U-16 squad that travelled to Kerry last Saturday for a four team tournament.The U-16 Championship Shield Final, Corofin V Craughwell, takes place on Thursday at 6:45pm in Loughgeorge. Please come and support the team.
U15s drew with Annaghdown 0-07 to 1-4 in the first round of the league. They play Caherlistrane in the next round of the league on Sunday at 11:00 in Caherlistrane.
U13s beat Kilkerrin-Clonbern on Friday 4-9 to 2-5.
U10s play two blitzes on Saturday one in Caherlistrane and the other in Monivea.

U8/U6 training Saturday at 10:00 in Belclare.The Prediction Quiz Leaderboard has been updated following Galway’s win in the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship at the weekend. Full details of the current leaders can be viewed on the club website.
LADIES NOTES:
Senior ladies drew with Kilkerrin/Clonberne in the County Final last Saturday in Monivea - Corofin 3-12 to Kilkerrin/Clonberne 2-15. Well done ladies and best of luck in the replay which is scheduled at this time for the weekend of 5th/6th October.
Well done to U16 girls who overcame Kilkerrin-Clonberne in the Division 1 Shield Final on Thursday 5th October.
Well done to minors on winning their first round of the Mairead Meehan Minor championship against Caltra last Monday 9th Sept.
U12s played Claregalway last Friday evening 13th Sept in a thrilling game of football that ended in level, unfortunately this ended Corofins part in the championship, well done girls and management on a great season.
U10 training continues on Thursdays in Corofin and Tuesdays in Belclare at 6.30.
