There was no winner of the lotto jackpot and one match 3 – Brian Silke. The numbers drawn were 7, 10, 20, 22. Next week's jackpot is €2,600 with the draw in the Man of Aran.
Move over Michael Flatley – Celebrity Jigs & Reels fever takes over the parish! An intensive training regime is now under way as 8 local celebrities put their feet through the paces in order to raise funds for the Corofin Community Development fund. The local Michael Flatley / Jean Butler 'wanabees' include Laura Keane, Noel Tyrrell, Martin Furey, Lar Reynolds, Marie Raftery, Alan Burke, Norma Carty and Sean Canney. All are currently in training in order to appear in the Celebrity Jigs & Reels event to be held in the Árd Rí Hotel, Tuam on Friday 8 March next – doors open at 8.00 pm. So get behind them and help them to fill their sponsorship cards on their quest to become the parish 'Lord of the Dance'. Tickets can be purchased on the website: www.facebook.com/change4corofin and in local businesses and are priced at €10 – limited tickets available so book your tickets today and ensure you are there on the night to support your favourite dancer.
Underage registration & open evening is being held on Friday 15 March in the Corofin pitch. There will be a presentation of medals to our winning Under 16, 15 and 13 teams also on the night.
The club offers is condolences to the Glynn family on the death of Maudie Glynn, Polanore, Cummer. May she rest in peace.  |
