On Friday coming, the Senior team hosted Mountbellew/Moylough at Corofin Pitch Round 3 of Division 1. There was a lot of interest in this fixture with a good crowd in attendance. It was a great team performance with a fine goal from Micheál Lundy. The final scoreline was fitting of the display as the lads finished up with a 5-point win, Corofin 1-10 Mountbellew-Moylough 0-08.
On Saturday, the Intermediates travelled to St James’s for Round 3 of Division 3A. It was a tightly contested game with plenty of scores from both teams. With just a kick of a ball in it, the scoreline finished Corofin 2-07 St James’s 3-06.
On Sunday, the Junior team travelled to Ballymacward to play Pádraig Pearses for Round 3 of Division 4B. Conditions were tough but the football played was impressive, considering. Again for the second time over the weekend, there was only two kicks of the ball between the teams as the scoreline finished Corofin 1-08 Padraig Pearses 2-07.
Junior D (5th adult team) game away to Kilconly for Round 1 of the Junior D Football Championship – North was cancelled due to poor pitch conditions. To be rescheduled for a later date.
