The Club Lotto is vital to supporting the Club in maintaining the great facilities we have and to ensure the underage teams are fully resourced with training equipment, first aid, etc. Our membership numbers are growing at each grade which puts an increased demand on the playing surfaces and equipment. Your continued support for our Lotto in greatly needed and appreciated, as it enables us to meet this demand year-round.

 

If you have not played the Lotto yet, or your subscription has expired, please visit our website corofingaa.ie/draws to enter our lotto. There are great value “Three for €5” tickets that can be purchased and there is an ‘auto-renew’ feature that can be used to ensure you don’t miss out.

 

GAMES

On Sunday evening we secured a win over Annaghdown on a final score of 2-8 to 2-7 in under 17.  The first goal was scored by Gavin Kelly in the first half, with Ross Coen adding a goal in the second half.  Well done to the players and management

 

Our senior team play An Spidéal in Round 4 of the senior championship in Pearse Stadium on Saturday evening with throw in at 6.15 pm.

 

The intermediates team travel to Kenny Park, Athenry to play Glenamaddy in their final group game, which is fixed for 12.00 pm on Sunday.  The team have already qualified for the play-offs. 

 

The juniors play Athenry in the championship north – Group B at 8.00 pm on Friday evening in Corofin.    

 

UNDERAGE NOTES

Thanks to St Marys GAA, Carrick on Shannon  who hosted the annual Joe Flynn Tournament on Saturday which was won by our under 13 team.  Well done to all our players and management, a great day was had by all.

 

The annual Kevin Killeen memorial tournament took place on Saturday morning in perfect conditions in Belclare. Great performances, behaviour and competition all round that were worthy of the occasion. Well done to all who helped and thanks to the teams from Annaghdown GAA club, Caherlistrane GAA & LGFA,  Tuam Stars GAA club and Oranmore/Maree GAA club.  A special thanks to the Killeen Family who  presented the trophy to Corofin, the winners for 2022

 

LEAVING CERT

We send congratulations to all Leaving Cert students in the parish who received their results on Friday. We wish them well in their ongoing studies or as they enter the world of work. 

 

SYMPATHY

The club offers its sympathy to the families and friends of the following who have died recently:

Noreen King (née Forde), Balrobuck, Corrandulla, sister of Peter Michael Forde, Kilcurriff.

May she rest in peace.
