AGM:
The Annual General meeting of Corofin GAA club will be held on Friday December 10th at 8.30pm. At the moment this most likely will be a virtual meeting. Forms for nominations of officers and motions of notice have been issued to members and can be downloaded from the Club website. Nominations and motions of notice should be returned to the club secretary by next Monday November 29th.
MANAGER:
Kevin O’Brien has stepped down as senior manager. Kevin was a selector under Stephen Rochford and became manager in 2015. We thank Kevin for immense and unrivalled leadership of our senior team during a period of unprecedented success for the club. We wish him well in his retirement.
UNDERAGE:
We had a great morning of football on Sunday at the David Canney under 13 football tournament in Belclare. Congrats to winners Caherlistrane, thanks to Salthill-Knocknacarra and Claremorris for taking part. A special thanks to referees Michael Ryder and Martin Collins and to the Canney family.
SYMPATHY:
The club offers its sympathy to the family and friends of the following who died recently: Kitty Deehan Raheen, Athenry, mother of Laura Ryder, Glenafosha; Padraic Burke, Middlesex and Ballinderry, brother in law of Sheila Burke, Ballinderry; Michael Doherty, Ballyhaunis and Athenry, brother of Liz Scahill, Ballinacregg; Teresa Murphy, Newbridge, Galway, mother of Michelle Murphy, Anbally; Valerie Jennings (née O'Brien) Barbersfort, Tuam and Annaghcross, daughter of Michael and Patty O’Brien. May they rest in peace.
