LOTTO:

We had no winner of this week's lotto jackpot.  Numbers drawn were 3 , 4, 6, 15. There were five match 3s, Owen Higgins, Eleanor O'Leary, Jackie Glynn, Bart Sullivan, Patricia McCarthy. Seller's prize went to PJ Reilly. Next week's jackpot is €14,450 and draw is in Canavan's, Belclare.



GALWAY FOOTBALL:

The Galway Juniors were defeated by Kerry in the All-Ireland final played in Portlaoise on Saturday.  The final score was 0-13 to 3-14.  Hard luck to the team and our players who were involved throughout the campaign, Connor Brady, Alan Molloy, Kevin Murphy, Brian Raftery and Cathal Reilly.



The Galway under 20 footballers play Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final in Pearse Park, Longford at 5.00 pm on Saturday.  The minor footballers play Kildare in the All-Ireland quarter-final at 7.00 pm at the same venue that evening.  Best of luck to both teams.  

 

CLUB GAMES:

Our senior’s game scheduled for last weekend against An Spidéal in the league, division 1 was postponed.  We play Mountbellew-Moylough on Thursday at 8.00 pm in Corofin.

 

Our intermediate team play Headford in the league division 3 at 2.00 pm on Sunday in Headford.

 

Our junior A team drew with Athenry on a score line of 1-9 to 0-12 in the league division 5 (North) played on Friday.

 

Our junior C team lost the division 8 league (North) final to Claregalway by 0-5 to 0-11 played in Tuam Stadium on Sunday evening.  Hard luck lads.

 

Our under 13 team had a narrow loss to Claregalway in the league final by 7 points to 8 also played in Tuam on Sunday.

 

Our under 9 and under 10 teams played in the Jarlath Corcoran blitz in Caherlistrane on Saturday morning.  Well done to our Shield team who won their tournament.

 

SYMPATHY:

The sympathy notes last week should have read Elizabeth Coyle, not Coyne, Claregalway.   May she rest in peace.
